On Sunday, September 30th, the NECA Convention Apprentice Appreciation Day shattered records of attendance and participation with about 3,000 registrations from 33 different IBEW Locals and 15 NECA Chapters. The day included a program moderated by Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter Director of Business Development Ken MacDougall with presentations by John Dougherty of IBEW Local 98, Mike Neill of IBEW Local 98 ATEI, Todd Stafford of the Electrical Training Alliance, Kevin Tighe of NECA National, Steve Richman of Milwaukee Tool, Joe Saganowich of IDEAL Industries, and Michael Callanan of The NEXT Academy. The program was capped off by a Town Hall Meeting moderated by NECA National Executive Director of Labor Relations Geary Higgins with IBEW International President Lonnie Stephenson, NECA President David Long, and NECA CEO John Grau. There was also a special guest appearance by IBEW Local 351 member and New Jersey Congressman Donald Norcross. Overall, this program was a huge success! With the assistance of our Chapter members, JATC Training Directors, and apprentices, the Chapter produced the following video that was unveiled on this day to attendees.
