The goal of the chapter in marketing our electrical contractor member firms is simple – getting new business at a profit. A multi-tiered approach must be taken in order to achieve this goal. The approach must also be flexible, changing constantly, in many cases helping our members know what their customers will need – before the customer even knows their needs in a changing world.
There is an ever-growing need to educate the public on the importance of competent and safe electrical work. For many years we have distributed THE ELECTRICAL DESIGN LIBRARY (EDL). The EDL series promotes our members to designers, specifiers, building developers – the decision-makers – those that hire NECA contractors. We also subscribe to the EDL for all of our members. This service allows members to be kept up to date with fast-paced changes in the trends related to electrical and electronic products and applications.
We continue to promote THE NECA CONNECTION. This computerized matchmaking service is set up to refer NECA members to buyers with special electrical contracting needs. Free to all members, this service has referred NECA members to over a half billion dollars in new contracts.
