On December 7, 2019 the Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter hosted its 80th Annual Holiday Meeting at The Lucy by Cescaphe in Philadelphia. The event was completely sold out and attended by over 280 Chapter Members, industry friends, and guests to celebrate another productive and successful year.
During Dinner, the Chapter’s re-elected officers were sworn in for another term in their respective roles. Chapter Member Joseph Cavanaugh of Cavanaugh Electrical Contracting was presented with the Thomas J. Burke Labor-Management Award. The Thomas J. Burke Labor-Management Award was established in 2013 and honors the career dedication of Tom Burke to our Association and industry. It is presented, only when deserved, to a Chapter representative who has earned great respect among his or her peers and has performed outstanding and extraordinary service on behalf of the Chapter to NECA-IBEW Trust Funds or Committees. Joe’s outstanding service to the industry at home in Wilkes-Barre and as a volunteer member of the Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter, NECA has been remarkable. Over the course of Cavanaugh’s career, he rose from being an electrician to founding Cavanaugh Electrical Contracting and operating it successfully for more than 30 years. Congratulations Joe!
In lieu of flowers at the meeting, the Chapter created 25 centerpieces of toys, books, blankets, and pillows, which were donated to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Thank you to all who attended the Chapter’s Holiday Meeting–we sincerely hope you enjoyed it.
