Channel your inner Rocky and join the National Electrical Contractor Association (NECA) for a 5K run or 1-mile walk with views of the Philadelphia skyline, Boathouse Row, and Art Museum.
This event will be held during the final day of NECA’s 2023 Convention in Philadelphia. Registration is open to all runners, regardless of attendance at the NECA Convention.
All proceeds will benefit the Philadelphia Police Athletic League (PAL), whose mission is “Cops Helping Kids.”
Route Description:
The 5K Fun Run / 1-Mile Walk begins at the Fairmount Water Works (640 Waterworks Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19130). Runners will be released promptly at 7:00 AM.
The race continues south along the Schuylkill River and passes under the South Street bridge by the University of Pennsylvania. The halfway point is just beyond the bridge.
Runners will return to the Fairmount Water Works via the same route and will cross the finish line in the same location as the starting line.
The race will be followed by a breakfast and awards ceremony at the Fairmount Water Works beginning at 7:45 AM.
If you are attending the NECA Convention, please register for the Fun Run by adding it as an “extra” to your 2023 Convention registration using NECA’s online conference portal.

The registration fee for this event is $150.00.

A photographer will be positioned for Philly themed pictures while on the run and at the Art Museum. A sign will be displayed promoting your sponsorship at the photographer’s location. Only one sponsorship available at this level.
$2,000 – Awards Sponsor
Your company will receive recognition for providing the awards for the winning runners of each gender and age bracket. The sponsor will have the opportunity to be on stage and present awards to race winners in each category. Only one sponsorship available at this level.
$1,000 – Wristband Sponsor
Your company logo will appear on rubber wristbands given to all race participants. Only one sponsorship available at this level.
$1,000 – Gold Sponsor
Includes four (4) race registrations and high-visibility signage along the race route.
$500 – Silver Sponsor
Includes two (2) race registrations and signage along the race route.
